Don't forget that there are four leather-covered booths (seating eight at a friendly squeeze) which are set aside on Fridays. The booths are free; call the club or email sonya at nottinghillartsclub dot com to book 'em. Once you've booked a booth you'll need to arrive by 9.30pm, but there's floor service so you won't even have to walk to the bar!

Please remember to bring your photo ID when coming to the Notting Hill Arts Club. You will be asked for it at the door regardless of your age. Find out more here.

Talking At Me is where resident DJ Rita Maia invites DJs and live acts from across the globe to present the best of the current underground dance music scenes - the finest filtered breaks, bass beats, UK funky and an eclectic mix of new club music.

For February's T.A.M. session, we've invited ace DJ-producer Diamond Bass over from Lisbon's Enchufada stable and local heroes Lixo and Jet Letts represent West London's Get Me! label.

Diamond Bass is signed to the same (Enchufada) label as Buraka Son Sistema and produces insanely catchy kuduro-meets-global-bass tracks on the 'Se Prepara' and 'Lwanda' EPs which are beloved by DJs like Bok Bok, L-Vis 1990, Stereotyp and Martelo. That's when he's not busy spinning eclectic selections of house, kuduro, dubstep and whatever globalized and bass-heavy tune makes the crowd dance the most.

DJs Lixo and Jet Letts have played the Arts Club many times before, especially at the Reely and Truly nights, but their Get Me! club night and creative collective has moved on a stretch since then. In July last year it sprouted the Get Me! record label which was kickstarted with thrilling EPs from Dam Mantle and Becoming Real. Expect to hear a lot more future electronica and bass-driven beats from their artists soon. In the meantime, look forward to some bashment basslines (probably), fresh tunes from Numbers and Night Slugs and Get Me! and who knows what else.

Rita Maia hosts the Saturday night electronic music show 'Sine of the Times' on Resonance 104.4 FM, which won the Best London Radio Station award for the third time at the Radio Academy 2011 Awards.
As one of the founders of the pioneering Badmood Collective (based in Portugal), she has just launched a new label for their tenth anniversary and still hosts a regular night at the renowned Music Box in Lisbon. Her unique style takes her to numerous events around the world.
