yOyO
is proof that some of the finest nights in the capital are those happening
every single week, yet they have line-ups which are so good and crowds
who are so up for it that they feel like one-off parties.
Seb Chew and Leo Greenslade have
been hosting and DJing at the night for years (almost a decade!),
and it's still rammed each week as they bring the finest in hip hop,
funky, dubstep, garage/grime and bassline-heavy music to West London,
while also showcasing live acts with musical styles that range far
beyond the usual parameters of urban sounds.
In other words, Chew and Greenslade
happily confound expectations (especially anything to do with West
End R&Bling nightlife) while delivering what their crowd of regulars
really want, a mash-up of cutting-edge and classic selections that
are far from predictable.
That's a skill born of real passion for the music: YoYo
keeps on being fresh and hype because Seb and Leo
put so much effort into the night.
