LDN LUVS LIVE presents: Carnival Comeback Party

decks: Earl Gateshead (Trojan Sound System), Tayo Joseph (Rats In Me Kitchen), Jamie Nomad, Conor Wheeler (pic, Nineteen89, Paradise)

live: The Majestic

LDN LUVS is a new monthly live night at set up by Conor Wheeler (of Paradise) with the intention of showcasing future talent from across the musical spectrum and bringing it into the beating heart of west London.

Reminiscing back to the warm days of the London summertime with a rum punch in one hand whilst skanking out to a very loud soundsystem in the heart of Notting Hill... now you are back in your puffer jacket with a fading tan and a luke warm coffee in your hand...

Well you can get rid of those post-carnival blues because LDN LUVS LIVE is bringing the heat back to Notting Hill with a Carnival comeback party and we have got the leader of the legendary Trojan Soundsystem, Earl Gateshead, spinning dub and reggae from the 1960s to the present day - Trojan Sound has released records from Bob Marley to Toots & The Maytals ... expect a lesson in sound system culture!

Joining Earl will be West London's finest dub and reggae band The Majestic bringing those live energetic vibes to the Arts Club's Funktion One sound system... DJ sets from Leeds Dub collective Rats In Me Kitchen's very own Tayo Joseph (who has just spent the last six months in Jamaica collecting music) and Jamie Nomad spinning a '90s dubplate vinyl-only set. We will provide the rum and the good vibes. Lord a' mercy!
